    This is a really nice Air King Duchess with the desirable green cabinet.  Air King manufactured this model in 1946.  According to Sideli’s book, the applied front panel and grill works of this radio are among the largest parts ever made from Catalin.  This rare green version of the A-600 measures 12.75x8x7″ and weighs about 5 lbs.  This all original and complete radio is in fine condition with no cracks, hairlines or repairs. The chassis is sold as not working with the power cord is present.

    Offered just in time for Christmas is this Plaskon Airline Rudolph novelty radio from 1951.  It was made by the Montgomery Ward Company from Chicago. This radio is in great shape and it still works too.     This is the fabulous Australian ”Empire State” Radio from AWA. The brown bakelite cabinet and matching original knobs are free of cracks, chips, hairlines, repairs or reproduction parts. The radio was manufactured during the period of 1934-1937. The dimensions of the cabinet are 11x10.75x6”. The 5-tube chassis has a single broadcast band.     This is one of our  favorite Emerson “Ingraham” cabinet radios from 1938.  This Saknoffsky designed mini tombstone measures a mere 11.8 inches high and just under 9 inches wide. It is also known as the “Hunchback” because of the cabinet side profile. This 213 is considered a very desirable and relatively rare model and is a “must have” for an Emerson Ingraham collector. This radio is 100% original and complete right down to the rear panel which is almost always missing. As you can tell by the pictures, it is in fantastic condition.

    This is a gorgeous Fada model 1000 “bullet” in Onyx and yellow Catalin. Fada made two models of the “bullet”, the pre-war model 115 and the 1000 which was made in 1946. There are subtle differences in the cabinet and the dial.  The bullet cabinet measured 10x6x5″ and weighs about 4 lbs. This onyx and yellow 1000 has no cracks, chips, nicks, repairs, tube burns or reproduction parts. This was recently cleaned, cut and polished to a very high gloss.     This is a simply gorgeous Fada 5F60 from 1936.  This is one of the earliest Catalin radio models made and has a simple and distinct cabinet design.  The 5F60 is relatively small, measuring only 8.25×5.5×4.5″.  The companion models featured green, blue and onyx insert colored grills.  In collecting, condition is everything, and this example has it all…  it is perfect throughout.     The G&F Searchlight is one of the “Top Dog” of novelties and is in the ultra rare category of antique radios.  It was manufactured in 1938 and because of its fragile construction, only few have survived to this day.  This particular example is in incredible original and complete condition.  It measures 20″ high x 16″ wide.  The circular cabinet is 13″ in diameter. The fun part about this radio is that it can be “posed”. The brass cabinet brace articulates at the base and at the mid-point of the cabinet. You can change the radio face orientation to accommodate many different display options. It even has the original wooden back panel that is often times missing on this model. This back panel is structurally important because it supports the thin cabinet to keep its rounded shape.

    Here we have a wonderful novelty radio from the early 1940′s.  It was an early Point-Of-Sale promotional radio.  The black bakelite cabinet measures 24″ high and is topped with a bottle cap for a dial!!  The cabinet is perfect with no cracks, chips or repairs.  The front label is a reproduction and the neck label will be included when the radio is delivered.  The tube chassis is not electronically restored but does work.  A fun radio all the way!!!
