  • G&F Searchlight Novelty Wood.
    Sold
The G&F Searchlight is one of the “Top Dog” of novelties and is in the ultra rare category of antique radios.  It was manufactured in 1938 and because of its fragile construction, only few have survived to this day.  This particular example is in incredible original and complete condition.  It measures 20″ high x 16″ wide.  The circular cabinet is 13″ in diameter. The fun part about this radio is that it can be “posed”. The brass cabinet brace articulates at the base and at the mid-point of the cabinet. You can change the radio face orientation to accommodate many different display options. It even has the original wooden back panel that is often times missing on this model. This back panel is structurally important because it supports the thin cabinet to keep its rounded shape.
